I don't really like my story, but here's what I have so far. CLick to play-

I don't feel like the chase part is strong enough, you don't care for the character enough for it to be jarring.

Sept 17:

Fur tests. Much faster now then last year. I'm using the geometry from the Yorkie from last year so I don't have to spend four months building models.

I was a bit worried about the stripes. In Shave and a Haircut you can select colors for the tips and roots of hair, and also have the option of piping it through an image. I piped light gray/dark gray tips/routes through a high contrast photo of tiger stripes. I haven't laid out UV's yet so there's no pattern, but it's enough to see that the stripes work fine.

Working Title: Organic Circus

Still working on story. I've eliminated the human completely, he was making a point but i had such a negative reaction to it week after week. People don't like that the little runt is capable of turning and attacking someone.

I've modeled the cute brother and sister cub:

So they're a little more realistic than the Runt. They'll have fewer and thinner stripes than him as well. I think I'm actually going to scale back his stripes as well, he's looking a little nosiy.

Scene breakdown:

Shot 24. Trees, sun, gress, two cute cubs roll by, then roll by again and pick him up in the tumble. Interrupted by:

Shot 25: COUGH COUGH of old chihuahua, Runt turns around and closes eyes again. Shadow branch.

Shot 26: Fades into Runt and two Cute Cubs leaping over hill, yellow flowers.

Shot 27: Bright light breaks up fantasy, third chihuahua gets thrown in, old Chi and cripple Chi sitll there. Meow Meow.

Shot 28: OS Runt of cute cub, gets zapped by RM. Door clooses.

Shot 29: Runt catching door.

Shot 30: Runt jumps out of door to follow RM, and cute cub.

Shot 31: Runt jumps onto ball (from playpen earlier) to avaoid beind seen by RM. Can see lights, curtains.

Shot 32: Onstage (Same as first shot.) Curtains, stage lights, chained to wall. 4 tigers, two orange and two white.

Shot 33: Runt creeps closer on Ball.

Shot 34: Stage, four tigers.

Shot 35: Same as 33, runt slips off ball.

Shot 36: REverse Shot Runt hits RM on ball onto stage.

Shot 37: Rolls onto stage 4 tigers, on ball. RM zaps off

Shot 38: Runt runs offstage and looks over shoulder

Shot 39: White cubs receding, RM comes up zapping.

Shot 40: Same as 38 runs away.

Shot 41: Runt runs aroudn corner, we can see ladder and panel and light streaming down.

Shot 42: CU Runt looks around.

Shot 43: POV Runt, looks down dark hallway, notices ladeer and ooks up towars sky, can see sky and branch.

Shot 44: Same as 41: Runt Jumps, RM up behind him.

Shot 45: CU Runt jumping on ladder side.

Shot 46: Runt climing up ladder OS can see outside.

Shot 47: Runt jumping out of ladder, grass, grabbed by robot. Bites down on hand and breaks it, freeing himself.

Shot 48: Wide runt jumps out, looks back and keeps running, two trees, ladder exit, grass sky.

More coherent. I don't want the brother and sister to escape because that ties everything into a neat little bow. I'm still fussing with the shots at the end. I don't like that the last shot is the Runt with his back to us receding into the distance, running away from his problems, but I suppose a slose up shot with tears streaming down his face is just unfeasable.

Oct 24.

Gave in to having siblings escape, but still no happy ending.

Andrew - modeled & rigged me the Robot RM. I'm making a few modifications to his moustache, and giving him a vest. (forgot to tell Andrew about vest.)

George - volunteered to model satalite dish.
